what do you mean by 'crypting'? if you mean encrypting and decrypting data, fx cpus have hardware support for aes encryption - they'll outperform phenom on that task. fx 6100 will perform even better in encryption tasks.
a bit mroe details about your budget, what you want to do with your pc would be more helpful.
