Thanks for the suggestion. I know the video card is old but right now I'm not using any graphic intensive programs that would require the higher end model. If I do choose to upgrade the video card soon, would the power supply that you picked be sufficient enough to power the current ones?

500w is plenty for that system and would allow for a GPU upgrade down the road. Your 9800 will draw loads similar to current models so power consumption differences between it and a current GPU is kind of a wash...
