More about 965be 970be 975be
  1. If your friend is not going to overclock get the 975BE, if he is going to overclock get the 965BE and the CMH212+ (Cooler Master Hyper 212+).

    thanks for your answer sir.:)

yes he is going to overclock it.

so should he get 965 be over 975be is 965 be good performer then that chip?

and yeah he is going to buy cm 212+ can evo be better or 212+ is fine?
  3. He may simply get further overclocking the 975BE because AMD was saving their best batches for last release, but it's completely the luck of the draw if any of them could reach 4.2ghz on air cooling, there are no guarantees they are basically the same under the hood, just the latter release is probably a better quality.

I had my 965BE overclocked to 4.2ghz on air 24/7 stable, reached 4.3ghz but just for a CPU-Z validation.

The EVO has a better base than the original CMH212+, it's only about a 1c better performance difference.

    is asus m5a88 mobo good?
  5. how to change multiplier
  6. Taking the 965, for example, to change it to a stock 980, change the multiplier to 18.5 and you can still keep the stock cooler, as the 965 cooler and the 980 cooler are the same.
  7. Since it's all the same CPU, with just a different base clock, go for availability/price. Preferably the 965 BE.
  8. i m getting an m5a88-m motherboard it has got some autio features to overclock can i do throw that?
