Any neat ideas for what to do with a front-accessible 3.5" drive bay? I already have a Zip drive in the other bay, so other removable media isn't too interesting. Something like the Live Drive (audio ports, etc.) would be interesting, but the one from the soundblaster folks is only for 5.25" bays...

Maybe a smart media / compact flash reader? Are there any that don't require a PC Card first?

Just for fun is fine :-)

My apartment is wireless - so I have a DATACHUTE PCMCIA dual slot in my bay - very handy for the wireless PCMCIA, and can also use 3com wired NIC when needed.

Other 3.5"? Mostly tape I think. Not heard/seen any flash readers.

Man there must be a market for cool geeky stuff for 3.5 inch drive bays. I want a mini toaster so that i can cook pop tarts when im fraging ppl in Counter-Strike. Or Maybe some front mounted power ports so i can connect a proper toaster and kettle to make tea and toast....

Whats all this about square pegs and round holes?
