More about first time build
  1. Have you set a budget for this project?
Hop on over the Systems > New Build section of the THG forums where they handle about a couple dozen of these requests per day.

If you fill out the form in *How To Ask For New Build Advice* you'll answer all the standard questions that help things get started
  2. 1. PSU: In terms of wattage, it is more than sufficient. In fact it's more than necessary to be honest. I've never seen Ultra X4 though, so I'll leave that up to others.

    2. GTX 560 is good enough for many games these days, just not on ultra/highest. You haven't mentioned what you'll be focusing mostly on. Games? Productivity? Video encoding? etc.
  3. Oh, that's right  . I'll mostly be using for games, like battle field 3 and the upcoming guildwars 2, hopefully i could play them on max/ultra settings

Oh, I posted in the wrong section... My bad. Thanks for redirecting to the right area, I'll post it there right now
  5. Don't get the 8150 unless you want to or are afraid of overclocking. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1239958&CatId=7341
  6. Have you considered an i5? I highly recommend my i5-2500k, and am looking at the i5-3450/i5-2400 for up-coming, slightly cheaper build.

There is a reason Tomhardware's recommendations look like they do. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-3.html
