hahaha i'd hope so with the fastest single gpu! what type of monitor are you using and what kind of resolutions? something like a 6950 or a 560ti might be ...a little more conservative with good results. for a 500gb non-boot drive $129 is wayy too much money. you can get 1TB for cheaper. if you're spending 1800 dollars i'd at least want a 2500k or 2600k also, the 2500 can't be overclocked. - nvm already covered.

NOTE: this is all from before the other 2500K posts :p

Get a cheaper, 750W PSU. Here's a fantastic model from NZXT: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817116011

You MUST go 2500K, not 2500. That is not an option. Overclocking is easy and safe, and you'll need some to handle the 7970, let alone the second that you'll get sometime in the future. If you can get to a physical Microcenter, it's $180.

Get some shorter RAM. Those Vengeance heatsinks don't do anything, and they may get in the way of your cooler when, some day, you feel like filling up your slots. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104246

I think you could do with a CPU heatsink that's a little tougher, like a $50 Scythe Mugen 3, but the EVO would do fine.

Yeah, you could definitely do with a cheaper hard drive. With an SSD, the speed won't matter much. 1tb Caviar Green, $110: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136490

Choose your case by stylistic preference, and don't feel like you have to spend more than $60. Go for the 932 if you like its look, but there are lots of other, cheaper options.

I'd replace the mobo with an MSI Z68A-GD80, $190: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130610

i have two samsung 23 inch lcd's it will be a while before i replace em and i bought the caviar black 500gb cause it was 109 and i heard black was better

It's better :D
In a Tom's Z68 enthusiast-class roundup, the GD80 was highly praised, with the one fault that its third GPU (PCIe) slot is badly designed and should be avoided. They ended up giving the Z68 Extreme7 their award, but only because it could handle 3-way SLI, which you don't need. It's also $80 more expensive.
"MSI's Z68A-GD80 (B3) and ASRock's Z68 Extreme7 Gen3 stand above the competition in value by attacking it from different angles, yet MSI runs into that issue where its board disables primary features when a third graphics slot is deployed."
"The two usable graphics card slots are triple-spaced to improve cooling to the top card. MSI’s tantalum PWM capacitors provide additional clearance around the CPU. And we even find a row of voltage detection points across the motherboard’s front edge."
When their one issue with the board doesn't affect you and the competition is $80 more expensive, the choice looks clear to me.

oh okay, with those monitors you'll need some GPU power for sure. my issue with the caviar black 500gb is that you're basically using it as a storage drive. most of your drive performance is going to be coming from your 128gb crucial M4, and the 500gb is just gonna be for extra storage of videos and pictures and stuff. so in that case i'd go for something like this:

1tb for $109. the caviar blacks are great drives, but i don't think you should really be looking for performance on your storage drive.
