Crossfire 6950 problem

Hi,

Just bought Two XFX 6950`s. Got everything setup, using one crossfire bridge, enabled in CCC, GPU-Z recognizes two cards, drivers up to date, but when it cames to gaming cards perform worse tha a single 6950.

I played BF3 in eyefinity on medium settings with a single card and I had 35fps, now I play with crossfire the same settings and I`m getting 24fps. How does that make any sense.

Maybe somebody who has this setup, can share the info how to get it running properly.

My Motherboard is ASUS P8P67 PRO

Thanks

Your Probably Limited To x8/x4 With That Config A Bottleneck Im Sure, That And If You Ask Me SLI/Crossfire Is Overrated, But Thats Just My Opinion :)

I`m starting to think the same thing. Before buying this I was looking at lots of rewievs an benchmarks and all off them said that crossfire 6950 ir great, perfomance the same as 6990, but nobody mensioned issues and there is loads. I definetly should have bought 5970 or spent extra £100 for 6990

I just tested cards with FurMark, separetly and in crossfire mode. Separetly they both performed exactly the same - Res 5988x1080, MSAA 8x and I had average 41 fps, but in crossfire the same settings and I had average 75fps. That is quite a boost.

So why there is lack of performance in gaming, if cards work fine? I don`t get this.

Topic can be closed, I have returned cards. Never going Crossfire again.
