Help, video card disabled

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

While updating video drivers, I uninstalled the old ones and restarted my computer but the screen stayed black. I connected my monitor to the on board video and that worked so I installed the new drivers and restarted again. Same issue with video card. Reconnected to the on board and opened Catalyst Control Center. It has the on board listed as "Primary" and my card as "Disabled Adapter", what happened and how do I fix it?

Please help.
