I'm wanting a Q6600 after the price drop like so many of you. I will not settle for old B3 stock though. Is there any etailers that advertise the steppings of processors on their product info page? I'm wanting a G0 stepping Q6600.

P.S. this new forum format sucks.

nope, the best you'll get is newegg which gives you the code name ie; Conroe. stepping would be hard for intel to advertise because then have to change the tags for every batch...more money?? idonno, you just cant get that info unluss u went to eBay.

NOoo, that site doesnt even state the code name fresh! Stepping is like "6" for mine and revision "B6" for my E6600. try ebay or go on to ncix, http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=22211&vpn=BX80562Q6600&manufacture=Intel some one already asked that question; http://forum.ncix.com/forums/index.php?mode=showthread&msg_id=1363846&threadid=1363846&forum=101&product_id=22211&msgcount=3&overclockid=0#msg1363846 they say G0 will be out July 16 so wait till Augest so that if you order on line your chances or getting a G0 Q66 will be higher

Actually at Newegg you can find out the stepping. When you go to the product page click on the manufacturer info tab in the middle of the left side of the page. Then click on the manufacturer product page link and it gives you all the info of that particular CPU directly from the Intel processor finder website. It goes by the sSpec number that is in the Newegg link. For example the Q6600 they have now is a B3 stepping according to the page.
