New gaming computer, but question about hard drive

i was wondering... i'm attempting to build my first desktop computer, and i've got all the parts i would like compiled, but i'm hoping to use my previous hard drive. it's from a 2010 emachine's desktop computer, 750gb, and i was hoping i could possibly use it with these components:

  1. You'll be fine, just make sure it's not IDE/ATA.
  2. As long as your hard drive has a SATA connector (looks like this) you should be fine.
