thanks yeah it went very smooth. took me a while to build it because i had never built a computer before. thanks to tomshardware and you tube it turned out alright

no i used nvidia control panel it asked if i wanted to span across the 3 screens in the 3d settings under configure sli phsyX surround. The game is star wars the old republic

nVidia also has mutimonitor technology called Surround. It requires SLI (except on special cards) and supports a maximum of 3 monitors in both Surround, and nVidia 3D assuming you have the proper 120hz monitors and the massive gpu power to push it.

 




I don't have the 120hz monitors just two regular 60hz but I do have three GTX 580's.

Surround by itself is a pretty nice setup. I'm not positive on the limitations of Surround vs Eyefinity but I want to say Surround only supports landscape mode, which is more than likely the more popular setup of the two. Personally I've been happy with my current 3150x1680 ips portrait setup but the 5870 is without a doubt showing it's age.

I can only imagine how great a 3x setup would be in tri-SLI.
