at my school we have a win2k server, then we have about 150 2k wk station boxes on it, in each room we have a seperate hp usb (crap scanjet 4200c) scanner attached to a seperate win2k machine this is of course setup as a scanning station. Now heres the problem, we have a login for each period(6) and under each domain login ( including admin) the scanners will not work, the only time they work is when we log in as a local admin(admin for the specific machine), we have tried playing in the registry to change the progs access to admin, but no luck, if anyone has had a similar problem then go ahead and let me know what worked for you

I would set up auditing, files and folders on the machine that has the scanner and that should tell you what files it is trying to access? Sounds like a permisson problem to me.
