Boot considerations for q6600 replaced with e6850

My q6600 had an error in the first core that was giving me messed up 3d graphics and random program crashes. I got a friend to give me his old e6850 from a computer that had a burnt out motherboard. I have therefore replaced a quad core with a dual core? Is there anything I need to do when my system powers on? Will it work without me needing to do a reinstall? I am about to paste the e6850 so please tell me if there is anything special I need to do when I power it back on.

  1. well in case anyone wants to know replacing a quad core with a dual core works just fine. Windows just needed a restart after the first boot for changes to take affect.
