I want to instll xp pro. i am running win 98 do i need the full version of pro or just the upgrade???

If you have the full version of Windows 98, you can just get the WinXP upgrade.

Upgrade is fine. If you want to do a clean installation you will need the Windows 98 CD.

Go with the full version. XP is nt based. It's just going to be a lot better than upgrading from 98.
