Hello, I am looking to upgrade from my i5 2500k's stock heatsink and fan. I'm looking at the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, but I'm worried that it will block the RAM slots in my motherboard. I do not have high-profile RAM sticks, they're just normal height. If anyone has this setup and it works, or you have any information at all, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I apologize if this thread is in the wrong category as I'm still relatively new to Tom's Hardware.

My motherboard: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P

Hello Donnerkeil;

No problem stopping in to ask questions. You didn't list the make/model of your RAM sticks.

Shouldn't be a problem using the CM Hyper 212. If you look at the NewEgg feedback comments for that motherboard you'll see quite a few people using the CM Hyper 212.

Hint: change the comments per page to 100 (from 10) and use the web browser Edit/Find option to search for 212 to locate comments.

No problem at all. You're good to go.
