My concern is basically that I want to buy one of the cards now and buy a second of the same card later when I need to.

Now I'm wondering if a 2nd 570 2gig will be more easily bought in the future or the new 560ti

I can't give you an accurate answer but judging by the GTX4xx series i'd say it will be easier to get a GTX560, even now there is a much greater diversity of 560's than 570's, probably because it sell better than the 570's due to lower prices while still having a good performance.

Also, you will need a pretty good processor to get the full potential out of two 570's. What is your CPU?

As i said, it will probably be easier to get your hands on a 560 in a year or so but you will, almost for sure, be able to get another 570 and if you can take full advantage of two of them than i suggest to get one now, not to mention that you will be able to play games on higher settings in the meanwhile.

Also... what's your power supply?

My bad... :??:

Didn't noticed... that changes things a lot, but if we look at the success those cards are having i still dare to say that he will be able to get one but not in a year or so like i said in my previous post, because higher success means that when they stop producing them the stocks will run out faster... But if he gets a GTX560 we will be able to get another one faster than a 570 since its a lot cheaper.

Just so you know I just watched a video on youtube from TTL and he said these would be a "limited edition" card. They won't be making many. That means if you are only buying ONE now, and want to buy ANOTHER in the future, go with a different card. It might be hard to find these in the future.

Are you talking about the 448's or the ti's?

The OP asked "two gtx570s or two new 560tis?"

Go with 570's based on the fact that one card will be bought in the future. Aside from that issue, 570's will still perform better than 448 560ti's. The purchase price makes an impact on what is the best value- there are a lot more 570 models around to choose from (could find a great deal pop up).

Only if you can afford 2 448s right now. But ive only found amazon selling them right now. and 289.99 for the cheapest one is kinda high still for what youre getting. Plus the 448 is basically a cut down 570. So it will never be faster then the 570 unless you are facing an OC vs base 570 comparison. SLIs both will just widen the gap a bit id think.

There was a 570 for 269.99 via rebate not that long ago on newegg. Sold out of course, and it was from Galaxy, ive never dealt with them before.
