Simply put, I am looking for the smallest possible mATX case that can fit a mATX motherboard and a full sized graphics card. I want a very small case.

This one has a small power supply, not suitable for high end video cards: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...(%20HTPC/Media%20Center%20Cases)-_-APEX%20(SUPERCASE/ALL&AID=10440897&PID=3087823&SID=.
This would be my choice, since it takes any atx power supply you desire: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...(%20HTPC/Media%20Center%20Cases)-_-NMEDIAPC-_-11204035&AID=10440897&PID=3087823&SID=

You'll have to go to it's webpage and check the specs. I'm not a video card expert. I would measure the clearance from the back to the cage on the case, and check the measurements of the 550ti. You must have some breathing room to clear out the hot air. If you get too small a case, you won't get good airflow and components will overheat, even with good heatsinks. I would download the case manual for specific measurements: http://www.nmediapc.com/htpc5000.htm#2
