latest launch push back.

That was implied. Nice to see you cleared it up for us, though. :)

Yeah, but that wasn't me, that was my grandparents, so that doesn't count,

Actually he almost hit another one...

>> 10. The obsolete DVD is a disaster.

>ROFL, obsolete! Yeah, DVD's an absolete standard!! Sorry Blig, what are you
>buying movies on now? Laserdisc?

It was a mistake to say they might go with HD-DVD later on, as that
only gives people an incentive to wait. When it comes to a console
launch you don't want to give people ANY reason to wait. Plus if early
adopters buy in only to see an HD-DVD model come out after the holidays
that's going to create more bad press than the 2 tiered pricing ever
could.

But as you say, Blig almost mentioned it and yet failed as usual. So
sad!

I don't see this as being a bad thing... If Blu-Ray dies a horrible
death it shouldn't impact the PS3 one way or the other because it's not
like the PS2 disc format is being used on any other machine out there.
The worst case scenario is that it just becomes the custom PS3 disc
format.

There's even a benefit to a global failure of Blu-Ray... if the format
doesn't catch fire it will reduce the chances of PS3 piracy. If burners
are expensive, hard to find and not really desirable then the game
market for PS3 should thrive.

Excellent job Bliggy.
This should be used at the next Xbox meeting.
I'd love to see how the stock holders and employees react to it.
