"I was very surprised when I saw latest issue of Croatia "Auto Klub"
magazine which came with the KY's interview about GT games and future of the
series.

As majority of interview was related towards his past and work on previous
incarnations of GT games, he stated that he "hopes that GT5 will be finished
during 2007".

He also talked about fantastic sales of GT4 (more then 6 BigOnes), about his
fascination with Nurburgring and he also stated that "GT5 will be 100 times
more detailed then GT4". I take this "100 times" as part of journalist's
freedom, but this way or another, this is the first glympse of the possible
release date by KY so far.

Hope that TGS will answer more questions."

Yeah, 100 times eh? What a strange thing, after all the maths and
equations that must have been scribbled down to find out how many times
more detailed it would be, that it would come out at exactly one hundred.

Imagine our insurance rates with cars with no physical damage.

:O)) "My twin brother and I both drive the same car. We both pay the
same insurance premiums. He drives his in Forza, me in GT4... then it
all went horribly wrong. We both skidded into the wall at the bottom
of the long straight in New York. I bounced off and got stuck a little
but was able to drive away. He left most of the front of his car on
the wall and had to drive the rest of the way home with his head
embedded in the dashboard."

I did a few 'Ring comparison laps a couple of weeks back with Z06's
and 350Z's in both games. Yeah, its harder than it should be to get
the ass end out with GT4. And it can feel more squirrely/glassy (a
good FF wheel makes a big difference). Conversely, I feel that
Forza just has too much off/low-throttle grip. Transition between
oversteer and understeer seems exaggerated. And while fun, the
Forza 'Ring is totally botched. I go way faster (in mph) in Forza,
but my times are way slower compared to GT4 and real-life cars.
Basically, the Forza Nurburgring is way too long.

Still, if Forza had decent (inexpensive) wheel support, I'd probably
be more comfortable saying it was better. As it is ... I'd say they
both have plusses & minuses and overall it is close. YMMV.

With only six cars on the road traffic jams will be a thing of the past.

My big hope is that they'll both learn from their mistakes this time
round and that the next games will really be better, not just glossing
over or adding things the other doesn't have. I agree there are
aspects of Forza's steering which are bad, and I'm sure there is
something wrong with that track but I am not a nurburgring fan. I tire
quickly so even a two lapper on that track can be painful for me.
