So yeah, I just set my first build up, but realized I installed the CPU cooler the wrong way. The fan that came with it is facing the GPU, so it's sucking air in the opposite direction against the top and back case fans, which are sucking air from the case, and pushing hot air onto the back of the GPU... a double fail.
What should I do? Would it make a noticeable difference? Should I just leave it, or change it?
I'm actually waiting for the last part to come in, the power supply, so I'm not able to test the temps out yet..
More abouthyper facing
AMD or Intel? If it's in Intel, just turn it around 90 degrees so that it's parallel to the RAM slots and have the fan face towards the back or the front of the case.
It MIGHT work for AMD too, but I'm not sure because of the way the bracket needs to be for AMD.
How could I turn it with the thermal paste though? Wouldn't interfere?
