Man, wasn't that Colts/Broncos game just nuts? I so was thinking the Broncos would come in and do the same thing they did a couple weeks ago. Who'd have though it would turn out that way?
What are everyone's Super Bowl predictions? I'm thinking it will be Patriots vs. Rams again, but would really like to see a Titans vs. Eagles.

You know, Tennessee running the ball that much surprised the hell out of me. That just wasn't like them, but it worked damned well. But, after McNair's second interception, I was happy to see them keep it on the ground. The sad thing is, if Tennessee lost it would have been pretty much solely because of those interceptions.
Manning did damned good. His first half was better than Favre's first half against the Raiders 2 weeks ago. Real surprising.

You know, I hate the Packers (GO BEARS! (even though they suck right now)), but I wanted them to win last week so I could see some Farve magic at the end of the game. He did march them down field nicely, but the kicker missed the field goal. They happened to win in OT, but I still hate the pack. But I do respect Farve. I like my father-in-law's hat.
Green Bay Tampons
Good for one period
No second string
I thought Manning was amazing during that game. I was glad to see the Broncos get served a little humble pie, too. The best game to watch was undoubtedly the Ravens/ tians game. That's what a playoff game is supposed to look like!
Bastage!!! ok ok.. so the cheifs defense sucks a dogs nut, but I think they'll put up a better fight than denver did. I think they'll beat the colts.

I very doubt the problems with the Raiders was Callahan. After all, he did take the team to the super bowl last year. Older players + injuries = bad team.

Nobody's saying all the problems were his. You may have noticed some of his players having problem or two with him, though. Good coaches find ways to get their teams through injuries, however. And, as you pointed out, those older players made it to the Super Bowl last year.
I guess none of us will know exactly what happened in that locker room, but the Raiders really stunk this year. How they could fall so far so fast is beyond me...Maybe their performance in the superbowl was a precursor for what was to come. Maybe they schism between players and coaches started with the incident with their center last year and just grew over the offseason?
If an argument can't be settled in one or two paragraphs, perhaps your just anal and should let it go...
They let the Chef's beat them. That was the start of their spiral.

Course they're wusses. Pads, n helmets and all that. More concerned about their looks than their game. What's more, when they're not actually scrumming down (or whatever it's called) the helmet is off and it's "look at me" etc etc.
Bunch o' poofs!!! Especially anyone called Bo, except Bo Diddley, but then he's an R n' B guitarist, so you expect that.
Bo Duke - Poof!
Bo Jackon - Poof in tights and pads (sounds like a Dynasty actress)
Just unleash big Duncan Ferguson. Any player who's done time for assault on the pitch has got to be a worthy representative for us.

Pads are actually part of the problem with injuries in the modern era of football. Back in the day, when they wore leather caps and minimal pads, the hits weren't as hard, not only because of the abscence of weight training and such, but also because they felt it when they hit the other guy. Now they are flying around and trying to hit as hard as they can because they are so well protected, (not to mention it is an unfortunate fact that teams pay for the big hit which is why you see more missed tackels anymore, but that is another matter) the guy getting hit takes in a lot of force. Almost every team loses at least one player to broken bones, as well as ligament tears, simple fractures, and other "minor" injuries as well as having to replace running backs after 9 years because they have so much padding.
Soccer is really called football in most countries.
Where do you think American Football came from?
It started as football(or as we know it soccer)
Bob
the ending of the pack game was brutal. nothing like watching a team just fold to let another team march down almost score a touchdown and then kick a fieldgoal to tie the game and send it into overtime.
i loved watching the rams and chiefs lose (sorry yahiko) i have maintained that with no defense it was a matter of time before the chiefs got bounced, good luck neck year. can't stand the rams glad to see them go.

I'm a kansas city fan. Which means i'm used to seeing the cheifs get knocked out of the playoffs, cause they completely forgot to show up.

Ouch, feel for you. Even back when we had the cardinals, they never could quite drive me to being a chiefs fan. ('course I was pretty young back then, so maybe I just didn't know any better) But at least the Rams have given me something to cheer for in the postseason a couple of times since they got here.
