My system has an i3-2100 @ 3.1 GHz, 4G ram, and a 4850 video card. Would it be worth the money to buy a 6870 graphics card or is the card I have good enough? I play some games and most seem to run okay but some occassionaly lag.
Depends on what you do, I would definitely buy the 6870, however if you are happy with the 4850 there is no reason why you should buy one. Is the 4gb of ram one stick or two sticks?

4850 will play any game out at a minimum of 30 fps on lowest settings.
your cpu is fine for most things, although it will struggle on games that require or can use more than 4 full threads. which there aint many...
your ram will be fine and an upgrade to a 6870 would be a decent bump over what you currently have and will max out a lot of games but run high medium on the very top tier pc games like bf3.
i wouldn't recommend any card over the 7870 or gtx 570 as your likely to start seeing bottlenecks on virtually every game... so yeah a 6870 would be a good choice.

If you going to play games like bf3, crysis2 or 3; you definitely need a better card like 6850 or 6870.
