I am probably not going to overclock it but will be doing some heavy video editing (Premiere, After effects) and 3d animation (Blender, Maya) on it , do I even need a separate fan for this cpu if am not going to overclock it?

Also is TX650w enough for a rig containing Fx8150, Sabertooth 990fx, Radeon HD 7850, 16GB RAM, 7200 rpm HDD (nothing overclocked) ?

This is true. All coolers (even water coolers) work on 'rise above ambient' temps. Ambient = local temps where the computer is at.
->If your CPU cooler can keep the CPU at 25C above ambient temps.
20C ambient temps + 25C when computer is under load = 45C CPU temps.
30C ambient temps + 25C when computer is under load = 55C CPU temps.

One issue you might have is that AMD CPU cooler can get loud when it working hard.
Hyper 212 Evo will run quieter even when it's working hard and might be able to keep the CPU about 5-10C cooler.
Hello Manpreet66;

Corsair TX 650W PSU is a good match for your hardware. Plenty of power in reserve in case you do want to overclock.

With a stock FX-8150 you really don't need an aftermarket CPU cooler. That retail stock cooler is pretty decent.

Thanks for the reply,

My friend recently got a 2600k (also non overclocked) and it gets too hot on heavy load so he had to use a liquid cooler. Thats why I was thinking about buying a cooler when I build my rig even though I dont overclock.

Actually we generally have very hot whether here, so that probably somehow makes our CPUs hotter than usual.
