Graphic card /Specs

a Dell inspiron 545 with 6gb ram and 500GB of hard drive and i have Intel Pentium dual core with 2.7 GHz... i want to upgrade my graphics card so i can play nfs world and nfs the run basically racing and run the minimum requirements to play gta iv anything else you need oh it has to be less than $50-70

Most stores are more expensive but they have it at Fry's, Best buy, Microcenter and so on whatever is closest to you, might be a different brand .

Also, be sure that you're not using a "slim" Dell that typically has an "S" after the model number. Those cases support only half-height PCI Express cards.

Also, be aware that only middle tier and lower tier cards come with a half-height option - then again, your budget of $50-$70 ensures that you're only looking at these cards.

Two representative options for these half-height cards are:

Nvidia GeForce GT 430:

Although these cards will most likely ship with a normal height bracket attached, the box will also have a half-height bracket which you can affix to the card.

The reviews show that its equivalent to or better than an Nvidia 8800 GT, which was a good card 4 generations ago. I have an 8800 GT, so can tell you that you can game with COD:MW2 upto 1680x1050 and Crysis at 1280x1024.
