hi guys , im from New Zealand ^^/
I have been thinking to upgrade my comp for awhile(general gaming use :D )
recently just saved enough money to buy one(my budget is about ~1500NZD ~ 1125USD)

I have been reading the reviews for CPUs and recommendation from the forums. It seems that E6600 is the best bang for the bucks right now.. ( locally NZ price is about $337 NZD which is about ~$250 USD).
However just yesterday, one of the shops in NZ manage to price the X2 6000+ at $225 NZD which is about ~$170 USD.

Right now I'm stuck on deciding which one to pick... >_<||
i was planning to get the E6600 and maybe overclock it alittle (~3ghz)
but with the price drop for X2 6000+...
Anyone know that how much better would a overclocked E6600 to 3ghz compare to a stock x2 6000+?
I know it would be better... but would the improvement of E6600 worth the extra price?

if x2 6000+ is a better choice can anyone recommend me a relatively good motherboard for the AMD system ( maybe something like a DS3 price range motherboard)

Thanks for your time :D

P.S i know there is a price cut coming in July 22nd but I'm not too sure how long it would affect the price in NZ ~ so planning to get the comp assemble now.

i'd say that the e6600 would be the better choice but since you're on a budget i'd get the x2 6000+. that will definitely perform well and you can spend the extra money on something else like a motherboard or some good ram.
