GeForce GTX 560 Ti---vs GeFprce 9800GX2

My GeForce 9800GX2 died, the store worked out a deal saying they would give me a GeForce GTX 560 Ti. The sales supervisor told me it is a better card, but when I look at the prices I am not sure I believe that.

Opinions? Can you tell me if the GeForce GTX 560 Ti is better than the GeForce 9800GX2 in anyway?

Thanks, John

Yes it should be.
Based on HWCompare, the GTX 560 Ti should have significantly better memory bandwidth, texel rate, pixel rate, and also has DX11 support. However, it should consumer power power (nothing too significant though).

nice deal as be sure you get the 560ti...but i really think even the 560 non ti is more powerfull than the 98gx2

Thanks for your replies! It seems to be working well, not sure if it is significantly better, but I believe I see improvement.
