P4 extension

The "brake away" is not for cpu power
If your motherboard only has a 20 pin main connection the "break away" from the 20+4 just hangs out
Your psu has a 4+4 cpu power connector

break it and plug either side into the 4 pin cpu power header

Only the 4 pin need to be extended, its a few inches away from the 20 pin connect by the cpu

You should have a single 4-pin ATX 12V connector that is in a separate location than the 20+4 pin power connector. If the 20pin section of the 20+4 pin power connector can reach the mobo header, then the +4pin section should be able to reach it too.

Are you trying to take the 4-pin power connector from the 20+4 pin mobo connector and plug it into the 4-pin ATX 12V header?
