The other day there was a power outage in my neighborhood, which caused my computer to turn off. I turned the computer back on and found that when I scroll through a set of items there is a very noticeable lag/delay. This only happens when scrolling. As far as I can tell, everything else is running/displaying fine. This has never happened before the power outage. I'm guessing that the outage somehow damaged my graphics card and am considering buying a new one. I don't have a spare one to test out this theory so I was hoping to get the opinion of someone who is knowledgeable or had a similar experience.

well, you have to install a video driver again.

I'll look into it, but how could a power outage cause the driver to malfunction?
