A Alexcom Honorable May 15, 2012 5 0 10,510 May 15, 2012 #1 I know that it sounds stupid, i bought a new video card that requires an eight pin connector. I have in my case one 6 pin and two 4 pin(in the same sleve). Can I use the 2x 4 pins as a 8 pin one? Thanks for your time!

Solution delluser1 May 15, 2012 2x 4 pins in the same sleeve is probably an 8 pin EPS connector, NO, you cannot use this as an 8 pin pcie connector http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#eps4plus4 Do you you have a separate 4 pin ATX connector for cpu power ? There is an adapter that will allow you to use the EPS connection for pcie, I only reccomend it for single rail power supplies http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812706025
