Hey

Just picked up a new ASUS 4870X2 that was in open box but unused from ebay. (well that is what was advertised and it looked brand new when I opened it). Installed it as many ways as you can imagine and get artifacts right at the bios screen and progressively worse until you log on to windows and then if it does continue to send a signal to monitor it is 100% artifacts. Emailed the seller as his policy is 7 days for refunds. Just looking for some thoughts, advice? I did manage to use my original 4870 to check temps on the 4870x2 and everything looks good, around 50 C.

System
Intel I5 750 @ 3.3
EVGA P55 FTW
8GB DDR3
Asus Dark Knight 4870 1GB
Antec CP-850

Just to add some information that may or may not be relevant. On the X2 it is running 54 (GPU) 59 (MEM) 59 (SHADERS) and 50 (VDDC's) the other half is 40 (GPU) 44 (MEM) 43 (SHADERS) and 43 (VDDC's). This is under 0 load. Do they always run different temps or could that indicate something faulty. I'm guessing the hotter of the 2 is further from the fan just receiving hot air from first set of components, but ya never know. I currently have the 4870 in the main PCI slot with the X2 in the x4 slot running in crossfire just to watch the temps, make sure gpu-z registers it etc. SO why wont it work on its own?
