Whats better GTX 580 sli or radeon HD 6950 crossfire and on which cpu woul they be best on AMD or Intel

Best is a subjective word.

580 sli is fastest, 6950 crossfire is far better in terms of price/performance. Some people will say the 580 sli is best, others will say the 6950 crossfire is best.

If you are buying either, you'd want an intel cpu.

Best for performance is the 580 SLI, by far, I mean 580 SLI is better then 6970 CF so yeah.

Best for price is CF 6950s and unlocking them to 6970s

Get a 2500K for either of those setups, that is really the "no-brainer" choice for any high end gamer build right now.

AMD is coming out with a new series even before Nvidia are. They will both have new series out next year.

No, AMD is bringing out new cards within 1-2 months, Nvidia's top end cards are 6 months - a year away.

Oh and money isnt a problem plus if im getting those i would get a I7 2600k even though i dont overclock
Or a I7 3930k even though they are a bit overkill its much more future proof

I play on high settings (not ultra) ik these are overkill but i will wait a year and do research on the new cards
