Ok so I am having trouble picking out my GPU.I want to pick between the GTX 560ti and the HD 6950 2GB/1GB.So please help me.My specs are:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor $189.99
  • Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard $117.99
  • Memory: Patriot Signature 8GB $38.99
  • Hard Drive: Reusing my Caviar Blue 120 GB(old and lacks space but it will do until HDD prices drop) FREE
  • Case: NZXT Gamma $39.99
  • Power Supply: Silverstone Strider 600w $69.99
  • Optical Drive: Reusing it from my old build(it can read and write DVD's and Cd's).
    Total:$456.95 without GPU.

My budget for the GPU is $270.00.I mainly try to use Newegg but Amazon is another option.
PS-I only want the GPU suggested(you can suggest about other things on the list, but not Monitors,Keyboards,Os's,Speakers,Mice.etc.).

The 6950 and GTX560 Ti are pretty similar and go back and forth depending on what game you are benchmarking. Hard choice.

At your budget you can also look at the GTx 560 TI 448.

It pulls ahead of the 6950. But it still goes back and forth a bit depending on the game.

They're both excellent GPUs no question but as to which one you pick - actually I look at it this way - when you're buying a GPU in that range, ask yourself - do you want to run multiple displays or not?

    Yes - 6950.

    No - 560TI.

    That's pretty simple, no?

Both of those cards will handle that resolution without a sweat, but that's the main question you want to ask.
