Hello,
Hi.
Tried Google - ing But Was not able to get much so pls try to help me..
I have An Intel Dg41rq Motherboard...
Want To get a Graphic card But unable To understand A few Things...
One Is as it states on Intel site that i have one PCI Express x16 slot it doesn't mention whether its 2.0 or 2.1 less then that...
SO I was Looking for GFX cards Like
Sapphire 5670,XFX 5570 ,Sapphire 6670 zotac 440gt these most need 2.0 so whether it will support my Motherboard or not...
another Question is Unable to calculate the power supply properly...
my system SMPS read as 230VAC 50/60hz
Dc output +3.3v = 25A , +5V = 32A, +12V = 17A ,-12v = 0.8A
where the gfx card requrires 450 Watts..
Any Help Would be Appreciated...

How large (in terms of watts) is your power supply? What brand is it? What are you going to be doing with the card? What is your budget?

Not sure what your PCI-E slot is but they are usually backwards compatible.

Do not go with the GT440, it is slower than all the cards listed there.

There should be a sticker on the side of your PSU. The 5670 should play all of those on decent graphics except for maybe BF3.

The 5670 and 6670 are the same btw. (badge engineering)

welcome to the forums newcomer!

1| get a good branded PSU - xfx, seasonic, corsair HXV2, GXV2, TXV2 series, NZXT - 550W PSU so that you are future proofed

2| getting the above mentioned PSU will open up more doors for your GPU choices.

3|if its the 2 FPS games you'd want to play get these;
HD 5770/6770, HD6850, HD6870, GTX 550Ti, GTX 560 ,GTX560Ti

4| your cpu will be the bottleneck/limiting factor for your gaming scene

5| your mobo will be equipped with PCI-E x16 v2.0 slot if it were an older perhaps v1.1 or 1.0a

If your PSU is about 250W, I believe that would be enough for the 5670, though it may be pushing it. Usually they work on lower end power supplies. The 5670 (or 6670) would be a great edition to a Core2Duo. My friend has one with a 550Ti and it plays most games on the highest settings.
