Desktop will not boot up xp

Hello,
desktop will not boot up & stops as it shows the following

Floppy disk(s) fail 40

Press F8 To enable system configuration
Press F9 To select Booting Device after Post
Press F1 To continue, DEL to enter Setup

At this point I can press Cntr. Alt. Del. and go into CMOS Setup Utility. The normal ESC to Quit,
F10 to Save & Exit, or F9 to go to Menu in BIOS.

Any help with this will be appreciated.

It seems to be trying to boot from a floppy drive. Go into your BIOS(F9), and check the boot devices and priority (Floppy, CD, HDD)and which HDD is to be booted.

Yes just turn off Floppy cant even buy those any more and did you try F1 to continue? That should let you skip right over the issue.
