I recently received 3 monitors of the same model to setup a 5760x1080 eyefinity display.

3 monitors:

using a single 6950 video card:

with an active mini displayport to DVI adapter for the 3rd monitor:

My problem is no matter which of the monitors i use with the adapter, even if it is the only monitor plugged in, i am not allowed to choose 1920x1080 as a resolution. The other 2 monitors once plugged in via DVI are fine and are able to display 1920x1080. This is a problem when setting up eyefinity obviously because it takes the lowest resolution of the 3, and in my case made a 4800x1200 display group. I have used different DVI cables so i don't think its a bad DVI cable. Is it possible that i got a bad adapter cable? or am i doing something simple wrong?

When i plug in the first monitor with the adapter:

that one is regular displayport. would the mini displayport equivalent be:

http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-003J-UltraAV-miniDisplayPort-Dual-Link/dp/B0030XMREG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318381795&sr=8-1

According to amd my current one should support up to 1920x1200. Why is it that i have to get this more expensive one that supports up to a resolution that i don't even need to go that high?
