560 Ti SLI with 2 Monitors Question

With 2 560 Ti's in SLI and 2 monitors. Is it possible to plug in 2 HDMI's, one in each graphics card, or will I need to put the second monitor on a DVI connection?

I believe that is possible, but why both hdmi ? dvi and hdmi have both the same quality, the only difference is that hdmi also has audio support.
