Asrock H61CAFE $70
Asus/LG DVD drive 22x $18
Antec 620w $70
Hitachi 500GB 7200rpm $85
i5 2400 $190
Cooler Master Elite 430 $50
HD HIS 6850 $140 or Sapphire 6870 $165

CPU:
Get the i5 2500k if you want to overclock and the i5 2400 ONLY IF you know you will NEVER overclock.

HDD:
Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB $85
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
It's cheap and 500GB, which is more than enough for normal games and videos. I wouldn't get anything more expensive because HDD prices are SKY HIGH

DVD-BURNER:
LITE-ON DVD Burner - Bulk 24X $18
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
It's cheap, unless you're going to watch blurays, this is more than enough for you

CASE:
NZXT Gamma $40
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Rosewill Challenger $50
http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-CHALLENGER-Computer-Fans...

HAF 912 $60
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Rosewill Thor $130
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Get the case you want most. The first 3 are mid size towers while the last is a full size tower capable of more components.

MoBo:
ASRock extreme 3 $122
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
The ASRock is a great board with many features. Get this board if you go with the i5 2500k because it allows for overclocking. This board also has 2 PCIe 3.0 slots for future xFiring which will give better performance

PSU:
Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-750 $100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This PSU is more than enough for CF and mild overclocking. It is a great PSU that should not fail on you.

If you go with this set up, you won't be able to play next gen (2012) games on ultra (it's hard to play BF3 on ultra w/ HD 6870) but it will last a few years with decent High graphics performance @ 1920x1080...if your monitor is a lower res, then a little longer. If you go with the ASRock board, you can add another gfx card later to get a little more life from your PC by crossfiring the 6870
