Is the Intel Core i5 3550 Better than the i5 2500.....I wont Overclock

Just for gaming and web Browsing.....

Is the Difference Big or not....i am about to buy a i5 3550 is there any better options in the ivy brifge platform in the same price range

Just slightly better. The 3450 should be on par with a 2500, while costing less.
