First off the laptops connect wireless to the main building but when trying to set up the wg602 v4 netgear access point it will not connect unless its unsecured or WEP. I can connect to it on xp laptop on any setting. Both are sitting right next to the router

Vista:
-cant connect to wpa-psk at all
-wpa2-psk connects locally only
-wpa-psk/spa2-psk can connect locally only

-windows firewall & defender is off
-vista is completely up to date
-no antivirus installed

Please help. I am sure its something simple I may be overlooking. Thanks

it does the same thing with a netgear router that we have around the shop...but i notice that even when connected with this 2nd router that the internet is soo much faster and smoother...where as the other one would drop out at times...

bad access point perhaps?
