AMD Radeon HD 6950 Power Supply Needed

I'm thinking about ordering an AMD Radeon HD 6950 graphics card as an upgrade to my current ATI Radeon HD 3400 (which is obviously very outdated). However, I need a new power supply for it. If anyone could provide me with recommendations to specific power supplies, I would greatly appreciate it.

  1. Give us the specs for the rest of the system please.
  2. for that gpu any thing over 500 watts but best to go a little higher for future upgrades
    such as http://www.amazon.co.uk/OCZ-600W-ModXStream-Power-Supply/dp/B001GLFD54/ref=pd_cp_computers_1
  3. Not just anything over 500W. Go for a good brand like Corsair, Antec, XFX, Seasonic, OCZ.
  4. i meant any wattage over 500 not just any psu
  5. I hawe 6950's in crossfire whit 750 watt so you will be fine whit everything between 500-750 watts

    Ah, i see :D
  7. The main concern I have is that the 6950 requires two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors. I'm not sure how to find a power supply that has those.
  8. you can buy molex-to-6 pin conector's. but the psu i have had 4 of those 6 + 2 pins. i think you will be fine :)
