Those cards that you list will work perfectly. But, you said you want to gaming, and the listed cards are clearly not for gaming and will also lag if you use the lowest setting. The 5670 will at least run on medium with other demanding setting turned down.

Which One That i Listed ? The First Post Or My Second Post ?

Will The 5670 Run On a 220w PSU ?

Will This One Work ?

I think so cause the 5670 use little power. All the cards that you listed will work perfectly, but none of them are suitable for gaming. The 5670 will pwned them.

I actually wouldn't run the 5670 on a 220 watt power supply I wouldn't even think of trying to add anything to my computer with that power supply. Get a new power supply for about $25 for 430 watts http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or this if you want the best graphics card I have listed http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... and then put in an better card. Then you can get any of these to play the games you have listed at a good frame rate. Listed from lowest price, lowest performance (but still very good) to the highest price and the best.

seriously, just get a new power supply, you can get a real good 450W power supply for a fairly low price. After that I would recommend looking at getting a new graphic card especially if you plan to game. your not truly going to enjoy playing those listed games on such low end hardware.

Yeah, its hard to find PSU for that case. I suggest you get the 5570, weaker than 5670 but use little power.

Turns out I'm a huge liar! lol I didn't realize how small your case was, I couldn't find any Small Form Factor power supplies above 275W and they were not even worth price.

I think you could go with the 5570 if you wanted to and could be moderately happy with that. My only other suggestion would be to buy a new computer case that supports small form factor motherboards and standard power supplies. But then your not going have extra money to buy a new card so unfortunately your kinda between a rock and a hard place.

New case, PSU and GPU not worth it for that. About a $225 upgrade.

67xx series will run perfect on a 220w power supply. No Problem what so ever. The recommended wattage's are WAY out of proportion.

Yes both of those cards will work BTW. c:

The 5570 will work flawlessly. But, the 67xx will not. Yes, the recommended wattage is too much but with 220W it will not cut it. In full load, the 67xx will use half of the wattage. It did not count the CPU, HDD and whatsoever. Anyway, the PSU did not have the PCIE connector.

Yes. 2.1 is exactly same as 2.0 and its backward compatible. Strangely enough, the 2.1 sometimes have compatibility issue with 1.x slot, keep that in mind when upgrading an old PC. I don't know much about online shop. But, where are you from? If from US I suggest you stick with Newegg, better reputability.

On that resolution maybe high, but other demanding setting (like shadow, AA etc) have to be turned so it does not lag. BTW, the 5570 performance is almost same like my 4670 and my res also 1280x1024. Newer games cannot run on high, older games might.

Woo! I'm from Vegas to... I sure hope English isn't your first language... O.K enough of me being mean

So lets take a look at a rough estimate of your power consumption:

CPU: 105 watts
HDD: 10 watts
Case fans: 5 watts each (lets assume 2) so thats another 10 watts

So thats 120watts right there, add on a 5670 and it turns out to be 195watts (5670 takes about 75watts) and since it is an OEM power supply I would be surprised if it even put out 195 watts (manufacturers almost always cheap out on power supplys and rate then higher then what they actually are)

SO all in all, I wouldn't risk it...

You could grab a 40 dollar case and 40 dollar psu then upgrade the gpu later =/
Edit, does it have a red switch in the back saying 110v or 220v?

Were in the statement you highlighted does it say 5670???
it says 5570.
and actually in an acer aspire x3xxx as I own one it has no case fans at all
and considering im using a sapphire radeon hd 5570, athlon ii x3 425, dvd rw, 1tb hdd and 6gb ram
all on a 220watt psu. I think I know if it works.
im on it right now.
ive had it for about a year and ive had no problems what so ever

oh :3 well, 1 5570 *might* be ok but I personally wouldn't take the chance, it only uses 20w less power then the 5670: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5570,2552...

what are the amps on the 12v rail?

Also your cpu is 10w less then the one he has in his
m

l
December 5, 2011 9:58:30 PM

Well you said 10v for the fans, but there not there.
then you said 20v less cause its a different card.
so thats 30v and that then compensates for the 35v extra for his CPU
so basically it will work, cause its pritty much the same as mine for the time being

im not being a dick but you dont need to start insulting people on a site thats for help

Honestly I've never been anywhere else so I can't really compare it... but its ok, not being 18 yet I haven't been to any strip clubs.... I guess the most prominent difference is the drug addicts and hookers on street corners... also we don't sell newspapers on the sidewalks, its all nude mags... XD

Your case is what people called a micro ATX case. Today's cards are based on ATX board, even so, what you really need is 'low profile card'. And and that's what a HD5570 was supposedly covers too ...which is why I find this weird. Care to gives us some picture of what happens?

I have an acer aspire X3400 , I just bought a saphire Hd5570 and cant get it to work. I was wondering if you could tell me exactly what you did to get it to even boot after putting the 5570 in. It doesnt even let me go to bios , it just run the fan kinda breathing , I let it do that for an hr or so then gave up. after I took out the 5570 and plugged the cable back into the geforce 9200 it wouldnt start up like normal , It just sat there blinking blue light for maybe 2.5-3hrs . then came up with some screen saying it checked X parts of my computer and press F1 to continue. once it did that it worked ok, maybe a little laggy but went online etc. I tried to disable the geforce 9200 , same thing happend. then I tried to disable geforce and make the PCI slot the primary , same thing. I still only have the 220 watt Psu but I have been reading it should work ok since it doesnt eat up much power. Any ideas ? It sucks waiting 2-3hr to boot up after each failed attempt. Im affraid it wont come back each time, Thanks

Try turning it off, taking out the cmos battery for about 15 seconds, putting it back in (make note of which way its facing because your gonna need to face it the same direction) and try booting it.

(Cmos battery looks like a small button cell battery or watch battery)

It did come back on each time it crashed , it just took forever. Still havent got it to boot up with the 5570 card , I hope im just doing somthing wrong and not that my card or board slot is bad.

I pulled the little jumper off near the battery and it will reboot right away after I turn it off and back on again , thats good , at least I dont have to wait hours between each attempt to mess with it.

Yay, now what I would recommend is to boot into safemode, uninstall drivers, reboot into safemode again, install drivers for the new card

(you have to download the new drivers before going into safemode and uninstalling :)  )

If any other odd things are happening please do tell us.
