Amd phenom ii x6 1045t vs fx 4100

Hello, i just built my new rig at xmas i built it with the fx4100 as i couldnt find a shop that stocks the phenoms anymore but i still think my 4100 is under powered for my setup im running win7 32bit with a gtx560 with 4gb ram. my brother has offered me his 1045t am i better with this chip or my fx4100

Take your brothers chip i think its a better chip.

It doesn't really matter when your running a single GTX560.

I'd rather have the 1045t and overclock it though.

I'd say OC the FX4100. It will surpass the 1045T by mere clock speeds if you do it right, for games at least.

Go to the UEFI/BIOS and find the multiplier settings. Play with that number until you find an stable point (no blue screens or restarts). Start from the default number and then go by 0.5 jumps.
