Will my CPU bottleneck this GPU?

Hello,

My system

Dell XPS 630i
4gb RAM
W7 64 bit
750watt PS
E8500 core 2 duo 3.2
9800GT

I am thinking about purchasing a Radeon 6870 and was wondering if it will be bottlenecked by my cpu. I don't play any FPS or games like Skyrim. I just want to be able to play games like Swtor, GW2 and Diablo 3 at high settings at 1920x1080 with good fps. Thank You.

CPU @3.2GHz you should be fine with the HD6870!

It won't "bottleneck" it (meaning your CPU won't negatively impact the performance of your GPU), but some games may want a quad-core, in which case you might see lower framerates. Check the minimum and recommended requirements for the games you play and want to play to see if you need to upgrade.

should be fine, although you may want to look into dropping in a core 2 quad as your next upgrade
