4800 64 x2. I don't want to mess with the bios and hope wattage is not a problem. The 3500 chip is a ADA3500IAACN. I want to update with ADA4800IAA6CS. I have a 550w power source. On the Asus website both chips say : since bios 0103. On my startup screen it says I have revision 304. I want to confirm that this is all ok. Please help.

Without knowing the full system spec, I would think your ok with power as changing the cpu will not add that much to your psu output and in some cases, a newer chip will reduce its requirements.

Your bios is fine, support for the later chip started with v.103 and your on v.304, although, if they have a newer version, I would update prior to swapping chips as it may contain corrections to any errors AMD updated after the chip was produced.

Take a note of existing bios settings as it get reset to factory defaults after an update.
