GTX 570 vs 6980

I need a recommendation for a graphics card. I do mostly web and graphic design as well as tons of heavy gaming. I am looking at the ati radon 6980 and the nvidia gtx 6980. Thankyou!

I have a AMD 1100t @ 4.2 and a MSI R6970 Lightning TwinFrozerIII and in BF3 on Ultra Settings at 1920x1080 I average 43+fps.... BF3, Crysis2, and Metro2033 are the only games I average low fps... and 43+fps average really isn't low.

Just giving some real world results to ya, thats all....

No such thing as a 6980

6970 (great performer and scales very will in Crossfire)
6990 (uber performance TWIN GPU Card)

id choose the 6970 over the GXT570 and prob over the GTX580
as Crossfire in the 6 series scales better than SLI

AMD cards have been having driver issues with the latest game releases, while the Nvidia cards have been rock solid. Your better bet is for the GTX 570, particularly for things like graphic design that can take advantage of the CUDA architecture.

Funny, I play Skyrim, The Witcher 2, DC Universe and Batman Arkham on my AMD 5870 just fine. Those are all new games, this year. Rage may have some issues but I highly doubt that was AMD's fault ID and Bethesda released a broken game.
