Sli/crossfire: no

Hey guys I want to get the best for my 600$. I had a psu in mind for 80$ but there was one for 60$ exactly the same on the same website. So help me.

I3 2100

Radeon 6950

Mobo: h61 cafe or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Psu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Recommend me a case?

Recommend me a DVD drive?

Help me not surpass my budget and get the best out of 600$

CPU: i3 2100 $124
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is a great CPU for $125, the only downside is that it is not overclockable, however, this is one of the best gaming CPUs on the market.

Graphics: GIGABYTE GV-N560UD-1G GeForce GTX 560 Ti $210
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
The gtx 560Ti is not the graphics card you wanted, but it has similar performance to the Radeon 6950 and is also cheaper. It is definitely one of the better graphics cards you can get.

MoBo: ASRock H61M-VS $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is a great budget board from a reliable company.

PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W $65
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is a great PSU that is also modular. It is 80+ certified, meaning it'll energy saving.

Case: NZXT Gamma $40
http://www.amazon.com/GAMMA-Classic-Interior-Chassis-Bl...
This is a great case for $40, you will not find another case with the amount of features the Gamma has. The Gamma was designed to be a gaming case and therefore you can fit 10" + graphics cards into its bay.

HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 500GB $85
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is a cheap HDD compared to the rest of the HDDs. It is also from a reliable company. I do not recommend going with any HDD that has a higher storage capacity than this since that'll bring the overall cost of the system up.

RAM: Team Elite 8GB (2 x 4GB) Memory Model TED38192M1333HC9DC $37
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is a great RAM bundle. 8GB is overkill, although it is extremely cheap, and therefore won't hurt to add it. If you want, you can easily go down to 4GB of RAM without seeing your system suffer. I rarely use more than 3GB of RAM even when playing games.

Heatsink+Fan: STOCK $0

DVD-ROM: LITE-ON DVD Burner - Bulk 24X $18
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
This is a very highly rated drive, it should do what you want it to. If you watch blu-rays then go with a blu-ray drive.

Total $630
The grand total (without Shipping and handling and rebates) is over your $600 budget, but there are multiple rebates and instant discounts that'll bring the system closer to $600.

Looks like we can agree that the NZXT Gamma is a great case eh?

Also, I really doubt the i3 will bottleneck the gtx 560Ti or the Radeon 6950. It's a powerful CPU that performs better than the FX-4100 in games. If you said it'll bottleneck with a FX CPU, I may have agreed, but I really doubt the i3 is going to be a bottleneck

This is definitely the best you can go for $600 at regular market prices. You can do better if there were sales and such but we're not going to worry about that. As for BF3, I believe you can run it on Ultra at around 55-60FPS. I have a radeon 6870 (which is a step down from the gtx 560Ti) and it can run BF3 on Ultra with 2x MSAA at 45FPS and 60FPS with AA off

I personally cannot tell you what you will get. I assume it's going to be higher than BF3 because SWTOR is less system demanding

It looks good although you can go down to the Seasonic 520W:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
That set up does NOT need 620W of power

The Seasonic PSU is better than the OCZ.
The mobo the OP selected is also a better choice, having both USB3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s. The cheaper one saves $15 but gives both of them up; I'd rather have both, especially USB 3.0 if you ever think about using an external drive for backups.
This 200MHz faster i3-2120 is also cheaper: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... at $120.

Difference for i3 2100 and 2120?

The only difference is the stock clock. The i3 2120 has a 200Mhz higher clock than the i3 2100. Go with the i3 2120 because it's cheaper and has a higher clock rate, which may help in performance.

EVGA has a lifetime warranty and is Nvidia's sponsored graphics card maker, go with EVGA since there is a mail in rebate that makes the total cost $215

Hello, I was thinking to build this computer too but the motherboard and graphics card are out of stock. Are there any good replacements that will work with this build? Thanks in advance :)  Sorry to bump this tread but it's my first time building a computer and I don't want to waste my money on things that won't work in the end...
