So I used to know a little bit about computers, but that was several years ago and my knowledge is out dated so I need your help!

I don't game super heavily but want to be able to play the games that I want to without choppiness. I do not care if the settings are on the highest, but I would like them to be decent enough to make games enjoyable. Some of the games I'm interested in playing are BF3, LoL, Minecraft, SC2, and DIII whenever that comes out.

Although the machine will not be solely for gaming, I'm sure gaming will take the most juice and be the most taxing on the computer so that is my main concern.

I've been looking around and found that the CPU a lot of people like the Phenom II, and then a lot of people like Intel i3, i5 etc. I'm having a hard time deciding what CPU to get, what are your thoughts? Also, I think the 2nd hardest decision is the MOBO, so please recommend a CPU and MOBO. Lastely the graphics card is stumping me. What is good enough? Again, I don't need high end, but I would like everything to run smoothly and look good.

Other than that, RAM, case, PSU seem pretty straight forward but please feel free to give input.

Side note, I am looking at upgrading my monitor so if there are any good deals you're aware of let me know!

Thanks guys!

Shooting for biggest bang for the buck!

The above should leave you enough room for a nice 23" monitor if desired. I would go look at monitors and buy the one your eyes like. You can always look for a better price on line. The system will play the games you mention on at least high settings, and ultra settings on many with the 23" monitor(1920 x 1080).

You will need a copy of Windows 7 64 bit to take advantage of the 8gb memory if you do not have one already. $99.99 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986
