I am building a new computer and can't decide whether to get the new Ivy bridge i5 3450 or the i5 2500k, which is more expensive. I really don't care about overclocking; I was just wondering if i should still lean toward to the old favorite or get the new less expensive but less powerful i5 3450?

If you're getting a Z68, then I would match a SB with it. The z68 won't take advantage of the IVB features. Plus, you have the ability to OC down the road, you never know when you'll change your mind.

If you were getting a Z77 board, then I'd go IVB...
