After advice on another forum, I've decided to upgrade my Geforce GT 220 to the Radeon 6770 video card. My only concern now, is whether I'll see a noticeble improvement with my current motherboard and CPU:

Motherboard (I'm just typing all the information i get from CPU-Z, since i don't know what important):
- Model: Acer RS780HVF
- Chipset: AMD 780g
- Southbridge: AMD SB700
- LPCIO: ITE IT8718

CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 240, 2.80 GHz

Feel free to ask, if you need any more information.

Thanks in advance!

Most all MOBO's will handle both AMD/ATI and Nvidia cards as long as you have a PCIe 16 on your MOBO. The upgrade is a big step and it should work providing your power supply will handle it. They have PSU calculators. here is an easy one to use. Good luck.
