Choppy Media

I burn media files such as movies on to Cds. When I play them off of my hard Disk there is no choppiness. When play them off of my DVD Rom or even Cd Burner i experience minor choppiness. What could this be due to? Any suggestions?

Maybe your ROM drive is having problems keeping up. What's your IDE configuration?

enable DMA for the optic drives through device manager
